About

My name is Dandy Glover and I am a 22-year-old Film Studies and English Literature graduate from Merseyside. I am currently working on an MA over in Manchester.

I review every film I watch over on the DandyReviews instagram @dandyreviews.

This blog is the home to my formal and informal articles. I cover everything from the relationship dynamics in ‘Twilight’, renditions of America in ‘Slaughterhouse Five’, and more political ideas such as the double standard of female aging.

It is my wish to use this blog to explore the questions raised by films, philosophers, and authors, and to share their work and my own.

I have been published by the LGBT+ feminist blog ScreenQueens, my articles for them are here:

“Michaela Coel’s ‘I May Destroy You’ is a Staggering and Grounded Work on Rape Culture,”

“You understand television and real life are different, right?” : ‘Community’, Abed, and Meta-Fiction
